Description

A new specie specific pheromone lure designed to manage the Citrus Leafminer (CLM). It is environmentally friendly, specie specific and emits the naturally occurring CLM pheromone in a controlled release which mimics a female CLM. The lure attracts male CLMs to the insect trap over a period of 4 to 8 weeks.

Iscalure- Citrella can be used for the monitoring and mass trapping of CLM. Use lures with a delat trap & sticky pad.

Highlights:

  • Contains no pesticides
  • Pheromone Lure - Will not target any other species
  • Safe for Organic use

ISCA has created a pheromone lure formulated with the highest purity among commercially available citrus leafminer lures providing superior efficacy and field life.

ISCA’s Citrus leafminer lures are the same lures used by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) and California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) entomologists for use in monitoring and trapping programs for Phyllocnistis citrella.

Field life: 8 to 12 weeks depending on environmental conditions.

Packaging and shipping: Packaging in re-sealable air-tight moisture barrier bag. Please allow 2 to 3 business days for this product to ship.

Shelf life: 2 years (or more) if refrigerated. For short term storage of less than 2 months, store in cool indoor area (or air-conditioned area if available). For long term storage of more than 2 months, store in refrigerator (or freezer for longer shelf life). Instructions: Species-specific instruction sheet included. Insect traps are sold separately

Storage information: Store in a cool, dry area.

Recommended Trap (not included with purchase of lures): Paper Delta Trap or Plastic Delta Trap

Other Information:

  1. CLMs are attracted to new flush of growth. Avoid pruning live branches more than once a year, so that the cycles of flushing are uniform and short. Once the leaves harden, CLM is less likely to oviposit (lay eggs) on these leaves. Do not prune leaves damaged by CLM because undamaged areas of the leaves continue to produce food for the tree. Do not apply nitrogen fertilizer at times of the year when CLM populations are high as new flush of growth will be damaged.
  2. Environmentally friendly CLM management solutions like ISCAlure for Citrus Leafminer (which emit the nature-identical CLM pheromone) are effective for managing low to medium levels of CLM infestation. At high levels of infestation, additional measures such as the use of insecticides may be needed to supplement the environmentally friendly solutions.
  3. The effectiveness of CLM control measures on your property may be contingent on the effectiveness of CLM control measures in host plants in your vicinity. If CLM is not well controlled (or uncontrolled) in host plants in your vicinity, they can reproduce in these host plants and migrate to nearby host plants.
