Gropod Standard Tree Guard (442h x 220w) - Cardboard (100)
Description
Gropod Tree Guard Standard (442h X 220w) - Cardboard (100) is suitable for general trees and shrubs.
An innovative version of the traditional 'tree guard', the Gropod supresses weed growth within the guard and increases tree planting efficiency and survival rates. Weed supression is achieved through the incorporation of fold down flaps at the base of the guard that block weed growth while allowing the seedling to develop inside without competition.
Other features include simple and efficient installation with instructions on each guard, stronger anchoring of stakes to the guard with 3 primary stake slots and the option for two stake installation, positioning of ventilation holes higher on the guard to reduce risk of overspray damage to seedling when maintenance spraying, fully biodegradable cardboard construction, internal drainage holes for unrestricted water penetration.
The gropod was invented by Humphrey Herington founder of Eastern Forest Nursery in Northern NSW. With 30 years of growing and planting native trees under his belt, the gropod innovation was developed over seven years to save time, money and importantly improve environmental outcomes of tree planting projects.
